  An excellent commentary of life in a township developed and maintained by a public sector giant that later faded into oblivion after liberalisation. It is a narrative on developmental and industrialisation efforts under five year plans in post-independence India, about one of the numerous efforts to try and make Bengal and India economically wealthy again. An unsung song of the land of wires, through the eyes of a girl who grew up in the township.
